InBasket AI

Complete integrated LIS

Diagnostics inside the same accountable patient workflow.

InBasket AI runs the full diagnostic loop — ordering, specimen collection and accessioning, result entry with reference-range flagging, technical verification, reflex testing, quality control, and signed reporting — for the whole care team on one patient record. The point is not a separate lab module; it is making diagnostics part of the same owned care loop.

It is comprehensive enough to run a clinic’s bench end to end on a single computer, online or offline, and built to recognized lab practice — Westgard quality control, configurable reflex rules, and standards-based interfacing — so it scales up to connected analyzers and reference labs as a site grows.

From order to signed report

  1. 1

    Order

A clinician orders a test, and it is tracked from the moment it is requested — kept private to your facility.

  2. 2

    Collect & accession

The lab collects the specimen and assigns a unique accession number, and can reject a hemolyzed or insufficient sample with a documented reason.

  3. 3

    Result & flag

Results are captured and automatically flagged against population-specific reference ranges, designed with reference to recognized global, national, specialty, laboratory, and clinical standards.

  4. 4

    Verify

A technical verification step finalizes each result before it is reported. AI can assist the bench, but it never auto-verifies or signs.

  5. 5

    Report & release

Verified results are assembled into a signed report and sent to the ordering clinician’s inbox; critical values are escalated for follow-up.

Built for real clinic conditions

A dedicated role for the bench

A Lab Technician role runs the bench — specimen collection, accessioning, result entry, verification, report release, and quality control — with authority scoped to lab work, while clinicians order and review results from their own workspace. Every lab record stays private to your facility.

The laboratory is a service layer in the self-contained InBasket AI operating system — alongside care pathways, pharmacy, referrals, patient self-service, billing, and reporting — all on one continuous, open FHIR patient record.
